MASELLO
Masello was born Mahlodi Malefahlo is a Pretoria based Vocalist; she
started singing at a young age. She honed her skills in the school and
church choir and later went on to work with local Tshwane groups and
producers such as Tonic Momentum, Spiyoyo, Fizzy, Dj Khosto and many
more. Masello eventually met Gauta Lenake also known as G-Soundz in
producing circles at a studio in 2005 and was impressed with her vocal
abilities and decided to take her under his wing. In 2008, with the help
of Gauta, she landed a recording deal with an indie label but asked for
contract to be terminated when the label failed to record a single.
Three years later she got her break when she collaborated with King P on
the single "The Music Is Calling" which was taken from the channel 0
compilation (So You Think You Can Do Better). She went on to work with
Sonic Noyz on their EP, No Turning Back which was released on
Afrodesiamp3.com, traxsource and was well received overseas.
